Dot Myers

Dot “Dotmama” Myers died at peace with the Lord and at peace with the world on Jan. 26, 2019. A rosary was recited for her at St. Joseph’s Church in Rhineland on Monday with visitation that followed. A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Joseph’s Church on Tuesday. The Very Rev. Stephen Bierschenk, Rector of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Dallas, officiated.

Myers was born on May 11, 1933 to Tony and Carrie Kuehler, the youngest of 13 children. She grew up in the small community of Rhineland, which she loved dearly and where she would spend the remainder of her adult life.

She married Billie Jake Myers on Sept. 15, 1953 at St. Jospeh’s and their marriage would bring 14 children into the world. Her husband preceded her in death in 2011.

Dotmama’s life was a life of love from her first breath to the last. She leaves behind those whom she loved the most in the world, her 14 children, her 38 grandchildren and her 49 great-grandchildren with eight more on the way as well as two brothers and countless nieces and nephews and many friends who also called her “Dotmama” also.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorials be made to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Rhineland, her spiritual home for these many decades, which she now leaves for her home in heaven.
