Troy Linthicum, 86, of Munday passed away March 11, 2019 in Munday. Graveside services were held Wednesday under the direction of McCauley-Smith Funeral Home with Wayne Speer of the Munday church of Christ officiating. Pallbearers were Angel Munoz, Daniel Martinez, Joe Shahan, Gary Howry, Bill Longan and Dan Offutt.
Troy was born July 3, 1932 in Athens, TX to Hubbard Linthicum and Markoleta Brown. He grew up in Waco and proudly served six years in the U.S. Army, including time in the Korean War as a member of the 1st Calvary.
He married Deanna McGraw, sister of Dr. Phil McGraw, in Oklahoma City in 1973, but the couple did not have any children.
Linthicum worked for 32 years in civil service at Sheppard Air Force Base in Wichita Falls before retiring in 1988. He moved to Munday in 2002 and spent 16 years working with Clint Norman at the Pack Rat.
Troy was preceded in death by his parents and twin brother Roy. Survivors include half sister Nancy Strickleather of North Carolina, niece Lisa Linthicum of Oklahoma City, close friend Clint Norman and many other friends.
