MUNDAY—The Munday City Council approved a pair of lease agreements with Greg Cavallo and Petty Flying Services during its regular monthly meeting last week.
The Cavallo agreement was for two years starting Jan. 1 for $80 a year while the Petty lease was for $280 for the first six months starting Jan. 1 and $560 for an additional year. Alderman Ryan Petty abstained from the vote on the second lease.
The council declared a parcel of land between Gail and Houston and 3rd and 5th as not useable and then sold it to J.W.’s Wrecker for $1,000.
The council OKed an engineering service agreement with Jacob.Martin in conjunction with the grant for new water meters and the 2020 holiday schedule New Year’s Day Jan. 1; Martin Luther King Day Jan. 20; Presidents Day Feb. 17; Good Friday April 10; Memorial Day May 25, Independence Day July 3; Labor Day sept. 7; Columbus Day Oct. 12; Veterans Day Nov. 11, Thanksgiving Nov. 26-27 and Christmas Dec. 24-25.
