Zonell Moore passed away on January 10. 2020 at the age of 91.
Zonell was born Jan. 1, 1929 to Homer Berry and Susie Connor Berry in Rochester. She grew up and attended school in Knox City. She married Leonard Moore Dec, 31, 1945 in Knox City. In 1950 she moved to Munday. She was a housewife, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. For 26 years, she delivered the Abilene Reporter News.
She was preceded in death by her parents Homer and Susie Berry, husband Leonard Moore, brother H.B. Berry, sister Almeda Berry, daughter Janet Seel, son Raymond Moore and great grandchild Timma Moore.
Zonell is survived by a daughter Barbara Collins of Munday, son Richard Moore of Munday, grandson Leonard and wife of Munday, grandson Raymond Moore of O’Brien, granddaughter Amanda of O’Brien, granddaughter Shonda Stanneart of Rochester, and daughter-in-law Debbie Moore of O’Brien plus 11 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Funeral services were held Monday at the First Baptist Church in Munday with Wesley Clark officiating. Interment followed in Johnson Memorial Cemetery under the direction of McCauley-Smith Funeral Home. A visitation was held Sunday at the funeral home.
