BENJAMIN—Feb. 3 will be the last day for you to register to vote for the March 3 primary election.
To qualify, you must be a United States citizen, a resident of the county, at least 17 years and 10 months old and 18 by election day, have not been a convicted felon unless the sentence, parole or probation has been completed or have not been declared to be totally mentally incapacitated or partially incapacitated without the right to vote.
To confirm your registration status, you can go to votetexas.gov and perform a search using your Texas driver’s license, voter ID or your first and last names.
Feb. 21 will be deadline to get ballots by mail. To be eligible, you must be 65 years or older, be disabled, be out of the county on election day or during the early voting period or be confined in jail.
Early voting will be allowed between Feb. 18 and Feb. 28 at the county clerk’s office here in Benjamin
