MUNDAY—The Munday City Council extended the contract of City Manager David Trevino until October, 2021 by a 3-2 vote during its regular monthly meeting last week.
Casting yes votes were Billy Carden, Karen Longan and Exa Lee Smith while Ryan Cottingham and Trey Singleton voted no.
Trevino provided an update on the water meter grant, saying everything is going as planned with a change out starting in May or June.
In addition, he reported that construction is expected to start in September or October on airport repairs.
The council decided to pay half of the increase in premium on the insurance for the fire department; ordered a general election for May 2; will start enforcing the unpaved ordinance; adopted a resolution designating authorized signatories for the CDBG; and designated David Trevino as the Civil Rights Officer for the CDBG
