Stock show Grand Champions recognized

MUNDAY—Grand champions were recognized during the annual Knox County Junior Livestock Show here last Saturday at the Munday Event Center.

Braylynn Myers claimed grand champion honors in the steers division along with reserve and junior showmanship honors.

Chance Baty swept grand and reserve honors in the poultry division along with senior showmanship while Connor Moore took grand champion and senior showmanship honors in the rabbits division.
Grayson Utley claimed grand champion honors in the lamb division while John Cross Utley took reserve and junior showmanship awards.

In the goats division, the Shavers captured the prizes—Emily as grand champion and senior showmanship, Ryan as reserve winner and John as junior showmanship.

Melanie Ruiz claimed grand champion honors in swine while breed honors were taken by Sydney Thompson, Brenley Hatfield, John Cross Utley, and Grayson Utley.

The annual event is a collaborative effort of the Knox County Junior Livestock Association, the FFA organizations at the county schools, the Knox County 4-H Club and the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service of Knox County.
