KNOX CITY—The Knox City-O’Brien Consolidated Independent School District Board of Trustees voted to extend the contract of Supt. Colin Howeth for a year to include the 2022-2023 school year after an annual evaluation during its regular monthly meeting last week.
In other action, the trustees ordered an election to be held May 2 and appointed Andy Shaver to fill the vacant seat on the school board and approved the purchase of a new Surburban.
Supt. Howeth provided a report on the status of Elementary Reading Academies and informed the trustees that the district had disposed of three old non-functioning vehicles and upgrades on a rent house.
