BENJAMIN—The Benjamin City Council approved a plan submitted by J.W. Biemer of EnviroMentor on a solution for the high nitrate readings on the city’s well sites during their March meeting.
In addition, the council OKed a motion to purchase ground killer and provide it to councilman Charles Griffin to use on the city yard and cancelled the May 2 election after certifying unopposed candidates.
Action on the need to clean up the city with the possible help from RC&D and taking action on any changes for the city utility collection policy was tabled until more information is collected was tabled.
Personnel policies were discussed in executive session, but no action taken.
The council also heard reports from Ronnie White and Ricky Molina on ongoing projects.
