KNOX CITY – The medical community in Knox County is growing with the addition of Dr. Rodney Sholty, a family medicine physician at Knox City Clinic. The new medical provider began seeing patients on April 6.
“As our community continues to grow, so does the healthcare needs of our region,” says Stephen Kuehler, CEO of Knox County Hospital District. “I am very pleased to welcome Dr. Sholty to the region.”
As a physician of family medicine, Dr. Sholty has the expertise to deliver comprehensive healthcare for individuals of all ages. He provides preventive care through routine checkups and health-risk assessments and through personalized consultations on how to maintain a healthy lifestyle, and he coordinates care with subspecialists.
“I am excited to be joining the outstanding medical community here in Knox County and have already begun serving members of the community ,” Dr. Sholty says. “Knox County is undoubtedly part of a growing region, and I am grateful to have the opportunity to care for families in the area.”
Before coming to Knox County, Dr. Sholty has held medical positions in Alamo, N.M., and Las Vegas, Nev.
He has a comprehensive academic background in healthcare spanning nearly two decades with certifications in paramedics, registered nursing, and ultimately achieving his medical doctor degree from Caribbean Medical University.
Board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, Dr. Sholty continues to showcase his commitment to the medical field while providing superior care to patients.
According to Kuehler, Dr. Sholty displays the professional and academic expertise, along with a solid character, that the community needs in a medical provider.
