Good news for youngsters! The swimming pools in Knox City and Munday will be open for the summer. Even better news, it will not cost anything because of generous sponsors.
The Knox City swimming pool will open Saturday while the one in Munday will wait until June 13 so repairs can be finished.
Jeremy and Brittany Lowe will manage the pools, scheduled to be open 1-5 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday, 2-6 p.m. Sunday and closed on Monday.
Cedar Ridge Aviation, Citizens Bank, and Penman Services generously donated for the Knox City pool while Petty Flying Service, P&W Services, Mark and Pam Reed and Booe Roofing were the generous donors for the Munday pool. In addition, Ace Hardware donated new lounge chairs at Knox City
The Lowes anticipate an enjoyable summer for all families in Knox County since family swim nights, swim aerobics, teen night and midnight madness are just some of the fun activities they have planned. Swimming lessons will also be offered for ages 3 and up, beginning during opening weeks at the two pools.
“At this time, we are having to follow the COVID-19 state guidelines for pool capacity,” said Brittany. “Updates will be given throughout the summer on each pool’s Facebook pages.
“Please keep in mind that no child under the age of 10 can be left at either pool without a parent/guardian.”
Both pools can be rented for private parties for any evening of the summer. Contact Brittany Lowe at 940-203-1741 for more information
