Marvin Urbanczyk

Marvin Aloysious (Buddy) Urbanczyk passed away on June 2, 2020 surrounded by his family. He was born May 11, 1928 in Munday, to AB and Anna Urbanczyk. He married Peggy Louise Parks Jan. 11, 1957. They were blessed with five children: Marvin Aloysious, Jr., Michael Lee, Anthony Benjamin, Nikki Ann and Gregory Lynn.

Buddy farmed and raised cattle for many years until he retired and passed on his passion to his children.  He was an avid golfer and loved fishing and hunting. There were many trips to Colorado with his family fishing on Piedra River.

He was preceded in death by his parents AB and Anna; siblings Bertha Lawrence, Louis Urbanczyk, Bernadine Kimball, Elaine Balosso, Corrine Wilson; daughter-in-law Kerri Urbanczyk; and grandson Jeffrey Urbanczyk.

He is survived by his wife Peggy; children Buddy Urbanczyk and wife Linda, Mike Urbanczyk, Tony Urbanczyk, Nikki Haberstroh and husband Steve and Greg Urbanczyk; sister-in-law Polly Decker; grandchildren Brian, Dustin, Steven, Kylie, Alexandria, Makenzi, Aleeya, Anna, Eme; and great-grandchildren Ty, Savannah, Aaryn Jae, Ava, Seth, Charli, Hudson, Oliver.

Buddy was a member of Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church and of the Knights of Columbus.

Funeral services were held Friday, June 5 at Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church in Rhineland, with interment at Saint Joseph’s Cemetery under the direction of McCauley-Smith Funeral Home. Visitation and rosary were Thursday, June 4 at the funeral home. Pallbearers were Dustin Haberstroh, Steven Urbanczyk, AJ Serrato, Kobie Decker, Nathan Urbanczyk and Zeke Carranza. Honorary pallbearers were Brian Urbanczyk and Jeffery Urbanczyk

The family requests donations to Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church, Munday City County Library or Hospice of Wichita Falls.
