MUNDAY—Moving Munday Forward, organizers of the 4th of July celebration, announce Texas Red Dirt Country artist James Tuffs and The Southern Trouble will be the featured entertainment, courtesy of P&W Service Center.
Just like in the past, plenty of food and games will kick off activities at 5 p.m. Saturday.
Registration for the cornhole tournament starts at 5:30 p.m. Tuffs and his up-and-coming Southern rock band will start their performance at 7 p.m.
A large fireworks display, sponsored by First Bank Texas, Booe Roofing and Penman Services, is planned at dusk.
Event sponsors are Munday Tire & Appliance, Dollar General, Buds for You, Casablanca, Burrito Shop, Isabella’s, Farmhouse Grill and the law office of Lina Reyes Trevino.
Organizers encourage everyone attending to wear masks or face coverings and to continue to practice social distancing as recommended for the pandemic.
