BENJAMIN—The Benjamin ISD will continue to provide free and reduced-price meals for households that are eligible based on income.
In addition, eligibility is determined by households receiving SNAP benefits, a child’s enrollment in Head Start or Even Start and a child’s status as a foster child, homeless, runaway, migrant or one displaced by a declared disaster.
Eligibility guidelines are posted at the school.
For households that qualify, an adult must fill out an application, listing names of all members, amount, frequency and source of current income for each member, last four digits of Social Security for adult completing the form and his or her signature.
Applications were mailed out in July and are available at Benjamin ISD, and can be submitted anytime during the school year.
The Benjamin ISD will review all applications and determine eligibility.
