AUSTIN — The Texas Dental Association (TDA) has released a short video to inform the public about the importance of dental visits during the COVID-19 pandemic
Members of the public may be wondering: Is it safe to go to the dentist? Is it a high priority? The answer to both questions is, “Yes.” It is safe to go to the dentist. In fact, visiting the dentist is important for whole-body health and illness prevention, the Association said.
In posted video, a TDA member dentist explains the enhanced safety precautions taken by Texas dentists. The video also instructs patients on the steps to take to be as safe as possible for their dental appointments.
“Dentistry is getting used to a new way of normal,” says TDA member Dr Sarah Tevis Poteet, who is featured in this video. “Dentists are infection control experts, and we have been for a long time.”
According to the Association, now that dentists are back working for the oral health of Texans, it is imperative that the public knows about COVID-19 safety. That is why TDA teamed up with video marketing company Get Practice Growth to create this video.
