In earlier budget discussions, the commissioners also decided to increase the salaries if the (insert) deputies by $4,000 in an effort to keep the county’s pay scale more in line with neighboring counties.
A hearing is scheduled at 9 a.m. Sept. 21 to finalize the budget.
In a special meeting Monday morning, the Knox County Commissioners Court approved a county road and crossing agreement with Griffin Trail Wind, LLC during a special meeting here Monday morning.
Work is expected to start on the construction of 200 turbines in the northwest part of the county in September.
