Tony R. Hobert, 76, of Munday, passed away at Abilene Regional Medical Center on Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2020.
Tony is survived by his wife Judy (Garner) Hobert; children Randy Hobert (Loneli) and Nikki Fanous (David)and stepson Stuart Leverett (Carol); grandchildren Bradly Hobert, Abigail Hobert, Ashley Fanous, Evan Fanous; and sisters Diane Robnett (David) and Carolyn Carriage.
He was born in Wichita Falls on Dec. 28, 1943 to Chalmer E. and Virginia (Jeffords) Hobert. Tony attended the Munday Church of Christ.
Tony graduated from Munday High School and Texas Tech University. After graduation from Texas Tech, he became a federal law enforcement officer and was stationed in Eagle Pass, New York City, Dallas, Honolulu and retired in San Antonio. He enjoyed traveling, scuba diving and flying his airplane. His storytelling, wit and keen sense of humor kept his family and friends entertained. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
A funeral service was held Saturday, Sept. 5 at the Church of Christ in Munday. Burial was in Johnson Memorial Cemetery under the direction of McCauley-Smith Funeral Home.
