KNOX CITY—The Pink Lady store in Knox City opened last Friday with record sales of $700 reported even with half prices offered. The store had been closed for 54 days.
“Donations continue to come in each Friday, and we welcome them just as we welcome our customers,” said reporter Billie Walker.
Going forward, the Friday crew of Glenda Huff and Sandra Stone will keep the store open while the Monday and Wednesday crews still have health issues that keep the thrift store closed.
The 20 Pink Lady volunteers worked 2,530 hours betweem Sept. 1, 2019 and Aug. 31, 2020. Based on the going job rate of $10 an hour, that amounts to a value of $25,300, according to Walker.
