Oct. 20 and Oct. 27

MUNDAY—The Munday City Council approved extending the hours for early voting on two days during its regular monthly meeting Oct. 13.
Extended early voting hours will be 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. on both Oct. 20 and Oct. 27. Early voting continues until Oct. 30 at city hall, and those voting on Election Day, Nov. 3, can cast their ballots from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Perry Patton Center.
The council also voted to close Bowie from S. 7th to S. 9th for Halloween. (See related story from Police Chief Chris Mendoza.)
Bids of $5,000 and $180 were approved from Tyrone Phillips and Robert Bowen, respectively, for trust properties in the city.
The council appointed The Knox County News-Courier as its official newspaper.
The council did indicate it would consider an amendment to the cat and dog ordinance at its next meeting.
