William “Dale” Huffman, 66, of Munday passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2020.
A graveside service was held Saturday, Oct. 24 at the Goree Cemetery with Cody Dykes officiating.
Dale was born Oct. 13, 1954 in Knox City to Arvis Glenn “Billy” Huffman and Joyce Faye (Shahan) Huffman. He graduated from Goree High School where he played football and was on the State winning teams in 1971, 1972 and 1973. On Aug. 3, 1974 he married his high school sweetheart and biggest fan, Mary Jane Marek in Seymour.
Dale was a skilled craftsman working as a brick and stone mason. He loved to hunt, fish, go camping and hunt arrowheads. His love of music began at a very young age fostered by his Uncle Jim who taught him to play the guitar. Dale could read very little music but if he heard a song he could pick it out. He had perfect pitch and could play an array of instruments by ear.
Dale will be remembered as a devoted husband, dad and pops. He loved his family dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents Billy and Joyce Huffman.
Dale is survived by his wife Mary Huffman of Munday; his daughter Amy Sigala and husband Mario of Munday; grandsons Miguel and Samuel; brother Glenn Huffman and wife Vickie of Goree; sister Teresa McKee and husband Dave of Potosi; brother in law Edward Marek and wife Cozette of Holiday; also numerous nieces and nephews.
