MUNDAY—Following an executive session, the Munday CISD Board approved an incentive plan for school personnel proposed by Superintendent Troy Parton during its regular monthly meeting last week.
The trustees recognized Nancy Birkenfeld for her 11 years of service, being appointed twice to fill vacated terms.
Gerald Rodgers presented the audit report and it was approved by a 7-0 vote. The district added more than $250,000 to general fund balance as well as more to the account that will be used to pay down the bond after year 10. The board then agreed to continue with Rodgers’ audit services.
Bids from Tyrone Phillips Investments, Robert Bowen and James Miskimen for trust properties were approved.
In addition, the trustees took no action on electricity contract providers, accepted a bond services contract from Stifel to continue services and approved workers for the Nov. 3 election.
School principals Kristi Bufkin and Brent Drury reported that there were 221 students in elementary and 153 in secondary with 98.2% and 98.8% attendance, respectively.
Band Director Trey Singleton confirmed a marching contest was scheduled Nov. 14 in Mineral Wells.
