Local Republicans showed their support of President Donald Trump with a Trump Rally Parade that started at the Knox City school and moved through Knox City, Munday, Weinert, Haskell, Rule, Rochester, O’Brien, Knox City again and ended up at the Veterans Memorial in Benjamin last Saturday.
Lou Vail, chairman of the Knox County Republicans, reported that more than 60 flag-wrapped vehicles showed up and were led by three big semi tractors.
Vail said the group gathered around the flagpole and pledged allegiance to the U.S. flag after arriving in Benjamin.
“Several offered prayers of thanks for our Knox County veterans and the freedom we have in our country,” she continued. “Requests were made for God’s continued blessings on America.”
Vail thanked Brian Phebus, who got the rally started, all who helped plan for a smooth parade and the ones who came and participated.
