AUSTIN—The Texas Education Association announced changes to quarantine procedures on Friday, reducing the previous 14-day requirement as the CDC as recommended.
On day 10 after close contact with individual with virus, a person can return to class or work at school.
If you get a negative test, the period can be reduced to day 7, but individuals and insurance responsible for cost of test.
Individuals taking advantage of the shorter quarantines should monitor their symptoms to ensure they remain symptom free during the duration of the 14 days.
