Knox County Sheriff—
TRUSCOTT—A man, who took cover inside his camper, was wounded after being struck by a round that penetrated the wall of the trailer when someone pulled up to his gate and began firing at his propane tanks mounted in the front of the trailer.
Sheriff Hunter Embesi, who was in the area, responded in his personal truck and took him where they could meet the responding medics on the highway.
The victim then was taken to the Knox County Hospital, where he was later released with non-life-threatening injuries.
At this time, there is no further information to be released and the incident is currently under investigation by the Knox County Sheriff’s Office and the Texas Rangers.
