Norma Lee Collier “The Queen”, 87, of Munday, passed away Monday, Nov. 30, 2020. She was born Nov. 18, 1933 in Dekalb, to Audie and Leola Easter. She was the baby sister of eight. Norma Lee always said she wanted to have a lot of children and so she did. She would say for someone to always love me. And she was loved…..Always!
Norma Lee was preceded in death by her husband Lonnie Collier, Sr.; father Audie Easter and mother Leola (Hill) Easter; brothers; Anthony Easter, Sammy Easter, H.M. Easter, James Easter and John Easter; sister Beatrice Howard; sons Lonnie (L.C.) Collier and Jerry Lynn Collier; daughter Nora Lee Taylor; grandsons Harold Collier, Kevin Smith and Kaiden Collier; and granddaughter Makebra Smith.
Norma Lee leaves to cherish her memory; sister Christana McCrary of Dekalb; daughters Lynda Lloyd of Abilene, Carolyn Collier of Munday, Patricia Thompson of Munday, Nickie Renee (Joe) Burks of Killeen, and Hope Marie (Relandus) Swann of Vernon; sons Lawrence Collier of Stamford, Johnny Collier (Jeanette) of Goree, Timothy (Jenny) Collier of Houston, Perry Lavon Collier of Birmingham, AL., and Terry Lavette (Cathy) Collier of Manchester, NH; Her long, long best friend forever and ever Connie Nell Dockins; 65 grandchildren; 97 great grandchildren; and 17 great great grandchildren; also a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
A celebration of life was held Saturday, Nov. 5, 2020 at Scruggs Fields in Munday. Interment followed in Johnson Memorial Cemetery under the direction of McCauley-Smith Funeral Home.
