MUNDAY—The Munday City Council heard from Police Chief Chris Mendoza at last Tuesday’s monthly meeting that he will be looking for another officer again as Dakota Whitefield has decided to return to Knox City, effective this week.
Whitefield had joined the police department in August after serving time in Knox City and Fisher County following his graduation from the police academy.
In addition, the council awarded the bid for the TDA meter project to Benmark Supply of Abilene and approved the 2021 holiday schedule.
The council also discussed possible additions to the dog ordinance and attorney Lina Trevino will make some revisions for consideration at the January meeting.
