Kenneth Henry Baker, age 90, of Munday, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2020. Kenneth was born Aug. 4, 1930 to Pitzer and Marie Baker. He graduated from Munday High School and Texas A&M with a degree in Animal Husbandry.
Kenneth married Joy Lemley on April 4, 1956. They were married 64 years.
Kenneth served in the U.S. Army in Korea and Japan. He returned to Munday in 1955 and started farming in Haskell and Throckmorton counties.
A lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church, having served on the Board of Trustees, Administrative Board and other committees. Also served on the Munday City Council, the Munday School Board, Farmers Grain Cooperative, and a member of the Munday Lions Club receiving his 55 year award in 2020.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents; brother Charles Baker; sister in law Betty Baker; daughter Kerri Urbanczyk; and grandson Jeffery Urbanczyk.
He is survived by his wife Joy Baker; son Chris Baker and wife Melissa; son in law Mike Urbanczyk; grandchildren Brian Urbanczyk, Steven Urbanczyk, Matthew Baker, Lauren Brett Baker and Jack Baker; great grandchildren Aaryn Urbanczyk, Charli Urbanczyk, Oliver Urbanczyk and Davis Urbanczyk; also, a host of other family and friends.
Graveside services were held at Saturday, Jan. 2, 2021 at Johnson Memorial Cemetery with Cody Dykes, Benji Van Fleet and Debbie Pankhurst officiating, under the direction of McCauley-Smith Funeral Home.
