ROBYN HARLIN, ATTORNEY
By James McAfee/The Knox County News-Courier—
MUNDAY—Attorney Robyn Harlin has opened an office here in Munday at 139 N. Munday Ave. where she handles wills, probate, guardianships, paroles, criminal defense, civil cases and real estate closings.
Harlin previously clerked for a lawyer in Houston for 25 years after graduating from South Texas College of Law in 1996, using a special 86-hour rule to go ahead and take the bar exam and pass it early before her classmates.
“I did everything for him, lots of probate, drafting wills and family law,” she said. “One day I appeared in municipal, misdemeanor, felony and federal courts on the same day, a real baptism by fire.”
That all changed when COVID-19 hit early last year, making all appearances by computers.
How did she decide to return to West Texas after growing up in Snyder, then graduating from Snyder High School and Angelo State University?
Cousin Kim Kuehler of Munday encouraged her “to just move out here” on one visit. “We need lawyers out here, too.”
Taking that advice, Harlin sold her home in two weeks, found a place in Munday online and had her cousin take a look and decided to buy it without seeing it for herself.
She has been busy moving into the new office but is ready to see potential clients.
