MUNDAY—The City of Munday received approval for the planning grant that will allow Public Management to do an updated and more detailed map of the city during its regular January meeting.
In addition, the city will move forward with the procurement of the $350,000 Texas Department of Agriculture’s Texas Community Development Block Grant Program (TxCDBG) grant for the Community Development (CD) fund and Downtown Revitalization Program (DRP) fund.
A public meeting is scheduled for 5:05 p.m. on Jan. 26 to allow citizens the opportunity to make comments about the grant to upgrade water/sewer lines.
A new dog ordinance was presented to each council member for review purposes, and the matter will be revisited in February.
Trey Singleton asked about a gambling ordinance, and the council learned one already was in place.
Pct. 3 commissioner Ray Herring was introduced during the meeting. He noted he would do his best for residents in his precinct in Munday.
