KNOX CITY—The Knox City Chamber of Commerce announced last week that its long-awaited project to put up new street signs in Knox City entered its final stages thanks to the combined efforts with the City of Knox City and both economic boards plus private donations.
President Mark Tucker reported the new signs started going up earlier in January with the help of city employees and will be finished soon.
“We’re super excited to see the signs going up,” he said.
Tucker added that the signs have a highly reflective blue and white material that will make them visible at night as well as supporting the KC Greyhound logo.
“The signs will come in handy for our emergency personnel responding to emergencies as well as the postal services finding the correct address for package delivery,” he added.
“The KC Chamber would like to say thank you to everyone that has helped with this project and we are super excited about the future of Knox City.”
Other members of the chamber board include Leona Burkham, secretary; Faby Vasquez, treasurer; and Gayle Nunn.
