One act plays from Benjamin High and Munday High have been busy finalizing plans for the
UIL regional contest, scheduled April 16 at Murphy Auditorium in San Angelo.
Benjamin will perform “The Red Velvet Cake War,” a comedy based on a family reunion in Sweetgum, TX, while Munday will present, “The Survivor,” based on Jacek (Jack) Eisner’s memories from his teenage days in Poland during World War II.
They will be among eight schools who have a chance to punch one of two tickets to state, scheduled April 29 in Round Rock.
Benjamin advanced to state in 2019 with “The Effects of Gamma Rays on the Man-in-the-Moon Marigolds” in 2018 and with “Blithe Spirit.”
