No local effect of J&J vaccine pause

Local health officials say the pause in using the Johnson & Johnson coronavirus vaccine in the United States should not have any effect on Knox County residents.

The Centers for Disease Control & Prevention and the Federal Drug Administration have recommended a halt in using the J&J vaccine as they investigate rare blood clots that occurred in six women who were among the 6.8 million people in the U.S. who have been given that vaccine.
