CHILDRESS – A Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) $943,646 striping and raised pavement marker project began in the Childress District this week.
According to Chris Reed, P.E., Director of Construction, the project will include an estimated 240 miles of various roadways in Briscoe, Childress, Collingsworth, Cottle, Dickens, Donley, Foard, Hall, Hardeman, King, Knox, Motley and Wheeler and will take approximately 61 days to complete.
When approaching a striping crew, drivers are encouraged to use extreme caution in the area, decrease their speed, pay attention to message boards and not pass in and out of the work convoys.
