MUNDAY – The airport rehab project scheduled to begin June 24 has been delayed to begin the first week in July due to continuing rainfall received in late May and early June.
The Munday City Council met last week and reviewed this and other topics.
City Manager David Trevino reported the continuing rain has also delayed spraying for mosquitos. Spraying is being done as weather allows, but for best results the recommended procedures are to wait two days after a rain, then spray for three consecutive evenings. More opportunities to spray are anticipated with a dryer weather forecast.
Dryer weather will allow crews to continue work on pothole repairs, installation of new water meters and swimming pool repairs.
