MUNDAY – A fast moving thunderstorm that blew through Munday last Sunday night knocked down branches across the city, and a few bigger trees were downed completely. Some buildings lost shingles but driving through Munday the following morning showed that damages were not as extensive as feared.
The late breaking forecast last Sunday evening was that winds could be in the 60mph range with golf-ball-sized hail. While wind speed records were not available, many residents conveyed that they witnessed trees bent so much, they expected more damages than what was seen Monday morning.
