MUNDAY – The Development Corporation of Munday voted to give Keep Munday Beautiful $1,000 for mowing and maintaining the parks and city properties.
Other topics considered were arranging to have trees cut and the area behind the Courier building cleaned, replacing an air conditioner on an occupied building owned by the Development Corporation, and researching ownership of an area near the new Family Dollar store currently under construction. The goal is to keep the area around this new store and all locations more presentable and conducive to business.
A proposal to move the fence at the city swimming pool further back to include the bleachers was well received and will be reviewed further.
Cindi Kessler attended the meeting and advised she is considering opening a business in the area. She also has experience in a Chamber of Commerce and is interested in reactivating the Munday Chamber.
