KNOX CITY—Pink Ladies volunteers in Munday have been dealing with a lot of illness lately, but they are still managing to keep their store open. And with the hot weather here, there is a wide selection of summer wear available.
Items are sold at low prices to help those who are unable to pay full price for new things or who cannot drive to other places to shop.
As a community service, Pink Ladies also donates clothing to community members who have suffered a fire. They just need to come to the store. Clothing is also donated to needy care home residents. Someone just needs to come and choose the needed items.
If you have a need for a special dish or basket, Pink Ladies say you are welcome to come and browse.
The store is operated strictly by volunteers who are not paid for their time. Their work is a community service to help the hospital purchase needed items for the hospital, Knox City Clinic, Munday Clinic, and the Munday Care Home. Friday’s crew needs more volunteers. If you find yourself with some extra time, even just giving an hour would help these ladies immensely.
The Pink Ladies appreciate everyone who takes the time to bring in donations. They ask that you please bring donations when they are open on Monday and Wednesday afternoons, or on Friday. If you are unable to do that, please call Billie Walker 940-657-3628, Glenda Huff 940-678-3019, or Pat Gonzales 940- 256-1190.
