BENJAMIN – The bridge at County Road 4206 and County Road 4237, between Knox City and Munday, north of Highway 222, is out of service due to recent heavy rainfall.
At the Commissioner’s Court meeting on July 12, Road and Bridges Manager Brady Hansen reported “Repairs are being done. A large metal culvert is the best way to repair this bridge. It should be back in service in one to two months, depending on the weather.”
Three new vehicles ordered for the Sheriff’s Department were scheduled to start in service last week, but the installation of specialized equipment by the contractor was not satisfactorily finished on all three, so only one is in service at the present time. The other two will be available in about one week.
