MUNDAY—Knox County residents now have a place to stay fit as Chris Anderson as announced the opening of High Octane Fitness here in Munday in the refurbished Texaco gas station at 130 S. Birch, across from Allsup’s.

“I’ve always had a passion for fitness,” said the independent contractor who still works in Iraq after serving there during his time in the military. “I’ve had to stay fit to do my work there.”

Anderson reported he has already gotten 10 people signed up for memberships and would love for others to drop by for a tour of the facility. Single memberships sell for $600 a year and a family membership for a couple is $750. Children under the age of 16 cost $50 more and must be present with a family member because of liability issues.

High Octane will be open from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, closed on Fridays and open noon until 8 p.m. on the weekends.
