MUNDAY – The Munday and Knox City swimming pools closed last Sunday after a busy season.
“It’s been a great summer,” said manager Amy Schnable. “We’ve had a lot of swimmers and good parties. The life guards were attentive, and there were no accidents in Knox City or Munday.”
She added that swimming lessons were given to 28 students during the first week in June.
Looking ahead to next summer, Schnable hopes sponsors will continue to enable the pools to offer free admission, and that Munday could install a diving board.
Manager Brittany Lowe, all the employees at the pools, and especially the swimmers, thank all the generous sponsors that contributed to making free admission possible all summer.
