James A. “Jim” Larned, 71, of Knox City, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2021. A graveside service was held Monday, Aug. 16, 2021 at the Knox City Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes.
James was born Jan. 16, 1950 in Childress, to Brada (Patterson) Alexander and Julian Larned. James lived in Knox City for over 20 years before moving away, and later returning after retiring a year ago. He enjoyed wood working and tinkering. He especially loved spending time with his family and watching his grandkids activities.
He is survived by his wife Brenda Larned of Knox City; daughters Tanya Foster and husband Charles of Iowa Park, Micah Leake and husband Brett of Canyon, Juli Ladesma and husband Alex of Knox City; 16 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; three on the way; three sisters Sandy Freeman, Mary Neeley, and Angie Larned.
He was preceded in death by his mother Brada Alexander and father Julian Larned.
