KNOX COUNTY – The Knox County Broadband Committee just launched work to develop a Technology Action Plan for the entire county based on community feedback. The Broadband Committee is made up of local stakeholders and works closely with Connected Nation Texas (CN Texas).
The goal is to identify challenges and opportunities to improve internet access and is funded by a Wichita Falls-based philanthropic organization, The Priddy Foundation, and will have no cost to the county.
A public meeting is scheduled for Monday, Sept. 13 at 6:00 p.m. in the Knox City Community Center, 208 SE 3rd Street, in Knox City to learn more about broadband access and use.
More information from the Broadband Committee and CN Texas on this important project will be forthcoming in the Sept. 10 edition of the Knox County News-Courier.
