Benjamin offense stampedes again

BENJAMIN—In a game that saw 100 points put on the scoreboard, the Benjamin Mustangs accounted for 54 of them as the Stangs went on the road to defeat Crowell 54-46.

The win moves Benjamin to 2-0 on the year. To say that the Stangs’ offense is on a roll to start the season would be quite an understatement.

After putting up 58 points in a week one home victory over Moran, Coach Shannon Waters’ team is now averaging 56 points per game.

Benjamin used a balanced offensive attack against the Wildcats. Quarterback Brody White completed 11 of 18 passes for 183 yards and four touchdowns. White also led the Stangs’ rushing attack with 164 yards on just six carries. White found the end zone on three of those six rushes.

The Mustangs will be on the road again on Friday September 10thto take on the Aspermont Hornets, who will be looking for their first win of the season.
