KNOX COUNTY – Supt. Colin Howeth advised the Knox City – O’Brien CISD is experiencing no Covid cases at this time. There were more cases a few weeks ago that cumulated with eight combined staff and students out, but since that time these have recovered and there have not been any more cases.
Supt. Troy Parton reported that Munday CISD has three students currently out. One of those students is expected to return this week. One staff member is out and also expected to return this week.
“Our numbers have been steady, three to four out at a time” said Parton. “I think there are few quarantined.”
In forecasting the number of Covid cases expected for the next few weeks, Supt. Howeth said “I don’t know what to expect for the future. We will continue to sanitize and take all the same precautions we took last year as far as mitigating the rise of the cases.”
Supt. Parton agrees the number of future cases is difficult to predict. “I do not know what the future will bring” said Parton. “This virus is very unpredictable and inconsistent.”
