KNOX CITY – Brandon Carr, Manager of the USDA – Natural Resources Conservation Service reported only 0.28 inches of rain in Knox County in September, making it much drier than average compared to the 2.99 inches normally received.
Even though the month was drier than average, this brings the year to date rainfall accumulation up to 23.48 inches, still higher than the average of 19.39 inches of rain normally received through September.
