    Last Sunday evening Knox City Volunteer Fire Department, assisted by several other agencies in the area, responded to a hay barn fire east of Knox City, off State Highway 222 with assets belonging to the Walker, Penman and Bosworth families.

    The fire was monitored and allowed to burn itself out. The department’s assessment, as posted on social media, was that “due to the large volume of bales insid…
