KNOX COUNTY Presidents Day is coming up Monday Feb. 20. It is celebrated the third Monday in February. Originally it was called Washington’s Birthday and was celebrated on Feb. 22 from 1879 until 1970, then the federal government passed the Uniform Monday Holiday Act to move it to the third Monday each February, which can be from Feb.15th to the 21st.
