Pay raises approved for Munday CISD employees

Body MUNDAY – The Munday CISD Board of Trustees met in regular session on June 22 and approved payroll raises from 3% to 7% for all district employees. Additionally, the board approved a boost in payments of health insurance benefits.

Fish fry at Munday Baptist

Body MUNDAY – The Annual Fish Fry at the First Baptist Church in Munday on June 21 was a well-attended crowd pleaser. The Baptist men worked hours frying up the fish, and serving with hush puppies, French fries, coleslaw, beans, iced tea and desserts.

Dean Homstead appointed to City Council in Knox City

Body KNOX CITY – At the regular scheduled meeting in Knox City on June 20, Dean Homstead was appointed Councilman to fill the vacancy following Councilman JR Hodges resignation in May. Hodges resigned his seat on the council because he moved to Munday.
