Knox City resident to be honored

Body By Don Thompson KNOX CITY – Edward Braxton Shaver Sr. was accepted as an honoree for this year’s Texas Agriculture Memorial Day celebration to be held in the Texas State Capital auditorium in Austin on Nov. 21 at 2 p.m., according to grandson Arthur B. “Rob” Robertson III.

Knox County celebrates Veterans Day

Body BENJAMIN – Knox County residents gathered at the Memorial building in Benjamin last week Nov. 11 - at 11 a.m. on the 11th day of the 11th month - to remember and honor the veterans that have served to protect our country.

Chaeli Starnes to speak at Knox City Harvest Day

Body KNOX CITY – Chaeli Starnes will be the guest speaker at the Annual Harvest Day event on Nov. 19. hosted by the Knox City Methodist Church. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. and the program commences at 10 a.m. Starnes is a gifted speaker, singer and musician.

Christmas events planned in Knox City

Body KNOX CITY – The Neighborhood Watch Program in Knox City has many events in the planning stages for the holiday season. A holiday lunch for the community is slated for Dec. 10 at the high school cafeteria, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with turkey, ham, and all the “fixins”.
