Rodeo delayed, Munday VFD to host fundraising dance

MUNDAY – The Munday Volunteer Fire Department announced that due to weather delays, the construction on the new rodeo arena will not be completed in time for the annual Knox Prairie Ranch Rodeo in April, so the VFD will host a fundraising dance in lieu of the rodeo.

Munday City Council introduces new police chief

MUNDAY – The Munday City Council met in regular session on Mar. 12 and introduced newly hired Chief of Police Dusty Bryant. Chief Bryant is familiar with the area as he was Police Chief in Crowell. He served a short stint in the Houston police force prior to coming to Munday. The Bryant family decided the small-town environment is better suited for their family. The family has two children that will be in the Munday school district when the next school “I’m glad to be back in this part of the country,” said Bryant. “We have a deputy in mind that will be graduating from the academy in August and hope to bring him here.”
